    Sad news. Aaron Sachs passed away June 5th, 2014. He leaves behind a large body of world class work and has contributed a great deal to both Jazz and Latin music during his lifetime.

      "Playing both tenor sax and clarinet, Aaron Sachs released several LPs in the 1950s and worked with a number well-known jazz artists such as Benny Goodman, Earl "Fatha" Hines, Sarah Vaughn, and Red Norvo. His first of two albums for Bethlehem, Aaron Sachs sextet (1954), featured Urbie Green (trombone), Danny Bank (baritone), Barry Galbraith (guitar), Osie Johnson (drums), Clyde Lombardi (bass) and himself (tenor sax and clarinet)." ~ Jason Birchmeier ~ -
