Welcome to THE ARROWS Homepage. The Arrows were a hip pop group of the mid-70's. Produced by MICKIE MOST, on RAK-EMI Records, the band had several "top 30" hit singles in the U.K. "I Love Rock'n Roll", Touch Too Much" and "My Last Night With You". The band had it's own weekly ITV/GRANADA TELEVISION series in the UK-1976-77. There was also a book written about the band by BILL HARRY, the editor in chief of the world famous publication MERSEYBEAT. This site is dedicated to this short lived band that had a major influence on the rock sound of the 80's, an influence that is still echoed today in the pop music of the millenium.

The Arrows trio (1974-78) members were //ALAN MERRILL (lead vocals-bass guitar)//PAUL VARLEY (drums) // JAKE HOOKER (guitar-backing vocals)// A late add-on to the band was TERRY TAYLOR (guitar-backing vocals)// Terry was in the group on the second Arrows T.V. series ('77) as a new band member, but was never on any Arrows releases on record. The Arrows last recording was released in 1976. A little known fact about THE ARROWS. Did you know that they were the group that wrote and recorded "I Love Rock'n Roll" in 1975? Joan Jett liked their song so much, she recorded it seven years later, in '82, and it was #1 for 8 weeks in the USA!! In the year 2001, megastar Britney Spears released the Arrows classic song on her CD titled "Britney", a #1 album. This site is dedicated to THE ARROWS and all things related. This is the underground cult band THE ARROWS! Long live ROCK 'N ROLL!
